Raven is here to make a difference, working as a team to build homes and change lives. We’re also ambitious: a sector-leader in carbon reduction, with commercial ventures and a focus on the future.

Want to be part of this? We’re currently recruiting for a Contracts Facilities Surveyor to join our Asset Management team.

As a Contracts Facilities Surveyor, you’ll be responsible for helping us deliver contracts related to essential housing projects, taking full ownership of cost, quality, time and compliance as well as providing technical guidance when required. You will also undertake responsibility for the Facilities Management function at Raven.

What you’ll achieve in the role:

Key responsibilities include:

  • Deliver contracts, such as the following, under Raven policies and procedures: planned cyclical contracts, for example kitchens and bathrooms, roofs, external decorations, and ad hoc major works and improvements projects, estate inspection, validation surveys.

  • Procure and take full responsibility of control costs, drive programme delivery, and ensure H&S and quality standards on your contracts.

  • Ensure that risk reports, policies and procedures relevant to the contracts managed, are comprehensive, up to date and followed, escalating issues as appropriate.

  • Undertake, or ensure the delivery of, appropriate surveying, inspections and remedial works, applied to accurate inspection and maintenance schedules and carried out to time, cost, quality and budget.

  • Ensure Facilities Management is effectively managed and that all functions relating to this area of the business are delivered: compliance, cleaning and building management.

What you’ll bring to Raven:

For this role, we are looking for someone with the following:

  • Experience across end-to-end contract management within a social housing context.

  • Experience within Facilities Management.

  • Knowledge and experience of the Construction or Maintenance Industry.

  • An excellent understanding of health and safety and CDM, and how it applies to your job.

  • Full UK driving licence and reliable own means of transport.

You will also share our values: earning trust by being open and accountable, listening with an open mind, working collaboratively, and caring about making things better.

DBS clearance will be required for this role.

Vacancy Close Date:  26th September 2024
