Job Description - Former Tenant Arrears and Income Officer

What you’ll achieve in the role:

The overall purpose of this role is to support customer to repay their arrears and to develop a payment culture to protect Raven’s income.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for collecting former rent, court costs, garage and recharge arrears.

  • Manage a portfolio of former and current arrears cases to ensure cases are consistently reducing by proactively contacting customers and complying with arrears processes and procedures to apply a consistent approach to arrears management for a variety of tenure types.

  • Supporting and assessing vulnerabilities and providing a tailored service to suit our former customer’s needs and communication preferences.

  • Handle difficult conversations with customers with understanding and empathy, building rapport with customers based on trust and support to encourage former residents to engage.

What you’ll bring to Raven:

For this role, we are looking for someone with the following:

  • Rent account management experience, including case management

  • High levels of financial acumen, able to understand complex financial information

  • Strong communication skills (written & verbal)

  • Experience of working in a rent/income environment – with some knowledge of arrears management

  • A full, clean, driving licence, as this role requires travel

DBS clearance will be required for this role.
